Shea Butter Cream for Stretch Marks
This is my favorite shea butter cream for stretch marks which i believe helped me, among other natural remedies, to prevent stretch marks to occur during my pregnancy.
What do you need?
- 1 oz. unrefined shea butter
- 1 oz. unrefined cocoa butter
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 1 capsule of vitamin E
- 20 drops Neroli essential oil
- 4 oz. empty clean jar
You don’t have to melt butters and this is the method i prefer. Make sure shea butter and cocoa butter is on a room temperature before you start. Cocoa butter is usually very hard and sometimes i put it above the steam for minute or two – just to make it little bit softer, but not completely melted. Mash butters with a fork and add oils. Mash it again a little bit. Mix it with a hand mixer for few minutes and you are done!
Alternatively, you can do the same cream using following method. Melt unrefined cocoa butter and unrefined shea butter on the steam using double pot and mix them together. Put it out of the steam when butters are melted and blended. Add extra virgin olive oil and vitamin E oil while mixing it. Put Neroli essential oil and mix it. Put it in clean jar and let it cool down on the room temperature.
I also tried few different combinations with other oils also believed to be effective for stretch mark prevention and reduction. Just experiment a little with different base and essential oils to make a cream which will perfectly match your own taste.
